A car hit the ditch on the south side of the northbound Batttlefords Bridge on Highway 16 East at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, prompting a response by the North Battleford Fire Department and other emergency personnel.
NBFD reports the lone occupant of the vehicle was checked over by emergency personnel, but there were no injuries.
RCMP are investigating the cause of the incident, which had fire personnel on the scene for about 15 minutes.
NBFD also responded to a report of alarms ringing at St. Mary School at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters discovered an internal sprinkler system had malfunctioned, causing the alarm activation.
Four firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
