Drug charges laid

Two people have been charged after Unity RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence east of there Friday.

Two people have been charged after Unity RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence east of there Friday.


David Allan Greene, 54, of Unity has been charged with trafficking cocaine (crack), possession of cocaine (crack) for the purposes of trafficking, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.


Also charged is 41-year-old Garri-Lynn (aka Karen) Hockley of the Unity district. She faces charges of possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.


Both have been released from custody and are due to appear in Unity Provincial Court Dec. 16.


Unity RCMP were assisted in the search by the RCMP Police Dog Services unit from Meadow Lake and by members of the neighbouring Cut Knife RCMP Detachment.
