Drug charges laid in narcotics case

Drug charges have been laid against two North Battleford residents following a search of a 103rd Street residence.

Drug charges have been laid against two North Battleford residents following a search of a 103rd Street residence.

Battlefords Municipal and Provincial GIS units executed the search under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act on the 1600 block of 103rd Street. There, police located a large amount of narcotics and a small amount of cash.

Two men and a woman were arrested. Later, one of the men was released without charges.

Bernard Allen, 47, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of proceeds of crime. Amanda Elizabeth Piche, also 47, faces the same charges.

Both have been released from custody and are due to appear in Battlefords Provincial Court at 10 a.m., Feb. 9.
