The holding company for WPD Ambulance in the Battlefords and Lloydminster and Rosthern and District Ambulance in Rosthern has expressed gratitude for its recent ABEX Award nomination.
Dutchak Holdings Ltd. announced its group of service providers was chosen as a finalist for the Community Involvement award.
Their community efforts have included their annual EMS Week events, the annual Cram an Ambulance campaign for the Empty Stocking Fund, plus participation in a number of other community activities that have included the Walk with Dustin in Lloydminster this year, their annual charity golf tournament in Rosthern, and other events.
In a statement, the company expressed its appreciation to its staff for all their efforts.
“We are very grateful for the support of all our staff that help contribute to the many organizations and events through the year that have enabled to us receive this recognition,” they said.
The Achievement for Business Excellence (ABEX) Award for Community Involvement goes to a business demonstrating exceptional performance in its support of the arts and culture, amateur sports, education, healthcare or voluntary groups. It is sponsored by BHP Billiton and the recipient will be announced at the annual gala on Saturday, Oct. 24 to be held at TCU Place in Saskatoon.
