An eight-month-old cat was abused last week in North Battleford.
After being let out of the house by its owners, it returned the following morning with scratches, deep cuts, and most of its hair missing. The injuries sustained by the cat were inflicted by scissors. The formerly long-haired cat was shaken, but will make full recover.
According to Dr. Tom Schmidt of the Battlefords Animal Hospital, such attacks are infrequent, but obviously do happen.
The pet's owner did not want to be identified.
