Up, up, up.That's the direction enrolment in the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division went in this year.As of September 30, enrolment in the division as a whole, which includes St. Augustine and St. Dominic Schools in Humboldt, was up 623 students from last year for a total of 16,081.In Humboldt, enrolment at St. Augustine School, a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school, was up 13 students from 2011, for a total of 267.It was the same story over at St. Dominic School, another Kindergarten to Grade 8 school in Humboldt. Their enrolment went from 225 in 2011 to 239 in 2012 - an increase of 14 students. Over at Humboldt Collegiate Institute (HCI), which is run jointly by the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division and Horizon School Division, enrolment dropped to 346, down 15 students from the 2011-12 school year.The Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division noted growth in five major areas - English as a Second Language, which saw an increase of 222 students; the Cree Bilingual program at St. Frances Elementary School, which expanded to include Grade 5 students, which means 40 more children were involved; French immersion, which had 51 more students enrolled; 48 more students in Pre-Kindergarten programs, and 22 more International Students.
