North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, July 24 and 6 a.m. Saturday, July 25.
Friday
• There was a report of a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and over curbs around 5:30 p.m. and the caller also stated that the driver and passenger were hitting one another. The vehicle was located by officers. The driver did not have a driver’s licence. Neither of the vehicle occupants was injured.
• At 5:43 p.m. there was a report that a bicyclist had hit a moving vehicle on 100th Street. The cyclist said that he was fine and rode away, however, there was damage to the vehicle and the cyclist was not identified.
• Officers attended a residence on 15th Avenue after a complaint of an assault at a residence there at 6:22 p.m. A 52-year-old woman was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
• A Community Safety Officer stopped a vehicle on 101st Street around 10:45 p.m. and suspected that the driver was impaired by alcohol. Officers attended to assist and the 35-year-old male driver refused to provide a sample of his breath. He was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample.
Saturday
• Officers did a curfew check on a male youth at 1:25 a.m. and he was not home. The youth was located shortly afterward and charged with failing to comply with his undertaking.
• There was a break and enter reported at a building on the 1100 block of 103rd Street at 2:33 a.m. A window was smashed and the screen was removed. The investigation is ongoing.
• Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 100th Street and 18th Avenue at 2:48 a.m. The 31-year-old male driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving and released for court Aug. 17.
• There was a noise complaint for a loud party at a residence on Martin Crescent at 5 a.m. Officers attended and spoke with the residents at that address.
• Someone reported their vehicle window was smashed during the previous night while it was parked on the 900 block of 101st Street.
In addition, there were four people arrested for alcohol related offences, 10 disturbances, two traffic complaints, two false alarms, two nuisance 911 calls and one person reported missing who has already been located.
