Erratic driver hits semi

Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 27 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Saturday, March 8 and 6 a.m. Sunday, March 9. Those calls included three false alarms and two nuisance 911 calls. Saturday 8:10 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 27 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Saturday, March 8 and 6 a.m. Sunday, March 9.


Those calls included three false alarms and two nuisance 911 calls.


Saturday


8:10 a.m. - Responded to a report of domestic violence at a local business. Police Investigation revealed that an argument had ensued between the couple but that they worked out their problems. Alcohol was not a factor. No charges.


12:38 p.m. - 911 call of an assault in progress on the 1600 block of 104th Street. 13-year-old girl being held until police arrived. Alcohol is not a factor and the matter is still under investigation.


1:58 p.m. - Report of a break and enter to residence on the 1800 block of 93rd Street. Perpetrator(s) gained entry to home and stole several large items along with clothing belonging to the victim and the victim's child. Police are still investigating.


2:06 p.m. - Report of mischief to a vehicle on the 1100 block of 104th Street. A window was smashed and entry was gained to the vehicle. Suspects went through the vehicle and steering column sustained damage. Matter is still under investigation.


3:20 p.m. - Report of car shopper(s) on the 1100 block of 99th Street. Several items stolen from inside the vehicle. Matter is still under investigation.


7:28 p.m. - 30-year-old intoxicated male located on the 100 block of 101st Street. Arrested and held until sober.


9:38 p.m. - 911 call reporting erratic driver headed south on the Bridges towards Battleford. Suspect vehicle collided with a semi but did not stop. Police responded and located suspect vehicle. Two suspects were arrested, a 38-year-old man and a 35-year-old man are facing charges. Police are still investigating.


9:42 p.m. - Report of unwanted intoxicated male at a local business. Police attended, arrested and removed a 49-year-old man. Subject held until sober.


Sunday


1:22 a.m. - report of intoxicated male lying in the middle of the Street. Police attended and arrested a 25-year-old intoxicated man. Subject was held in custody until sober.


2:05 a.m. - Request made to remove two intoxicated men from a residence on Winder Crescent. Police attended and removed 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old man. Further investigation revealed that the 23-year-old man was on conditions to not be drinking alcohol and was charged with failure to comply with the condition.


4:52 a.m. - Report of an unwanted intoxicated woman at a residence located on the 1400 block of 111th Street. Police attended and removed a 17-year-old intoxicated woman.
