Family members fight with weapon

Between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, approximately 45 calls for service/occurrences including three false alarms, four false/nuisance 911 calls and one noise complaint were reported to North Battleford RCMP. 8:28 a.m.

8:28 a.m. - Mischief to a vehicle on the 1700 block of 102nd Street.


8:42 a.m. - Report of a non-injury two vehicle collision on 100th Street; one vehicle fled the scene, but was located a short time later. The 19-year-old male driver was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and will make his first court appearance Aug. 25.


Noon - Report of  intoxicated persons causing a disturbance on 101st Street; three females arrested for public intoxication and lodged until sober.


1:47 p.m. - Report of an assault with a weapon between family members at a residence on 101st Street. A 24-year-male was arrested and will make his first court appearance Aug. 5.


4:00 p.m. - Report of intoxicated male on 102nd Street; not located.


4:46 p.m. - Report of vehicles driving around, occupants with open liquor. Vehicles not located.


4:55 p.m. - Three intoxicated persons located near South Railway Avenue. All were arrested for public intoxication and lodged until sober.


7:58 p.m. - Call to assist Social Services with a welfare check.


8:26 p.m. - Report of unwanted guest at a residence on Trudeau Street; guest left before police arrived.


9:39 p.m. - Police assisted a male in gaining entry to a family member's residence. The family member had fallen and needed medical attention. They were transported to the hospital by ambulance.


10:14 p.m. - Report of a theft from a business on Railway Avenue; still under investigation.


10:50 p.m. - Report of persons drinking outside on 110th Street. Patrols made, but not located.


11:09 p.m. - Report of persons throwing rocks behind a business on 100th Street; patrols made, but not located.


11:18 p.m. - Two intoxicated males arrested behind a business on 100th Street; lodged until sober.


1:14 a.m. - Report of a disturbance on 99th Street.


 1:23 a.m. - Report of someone knocking on doors on Trudeau Street, causing a disturbance. A 51-year-old intoxicated female was arrested for public intoxication and lodged until sober.


2:41 a.m. - Report of a suspicious male on McKenzie King Crescent; a 28-year-old intoxicated male was located; arrested for public intoxication and lodged until sober.


2:45 a.m. - Report of a fight behind a business on 100th Street; one person suffered minor injuries trying to break it up.


2:49 a.m. - Report of a fight at a residence on 108th Street. Members attended and determined that it was an argument over a set of keys between family members trying to prevent an intoxicated person from driving.


3:34 a.m. - Report of suspicious persons banging on a door at a residence on Winder Crescent; gone upon police arrival.


4:20 a.m. - Report of property damage to a residence on 108th Street.


5:56 a.m. - Report of a disturbance on 107th Street. Police attended and arrested two males and one female for public intoxication.
