Fatal aircraft accident near Arborfield

ARBORFIELD — The pilot of a crop duster died after their plane crashed near Arborfield. The crash of the C188B Cessna happened July 12. The Transportation Safety Board said they’ve been told there was a fire after impact.

ARBORFIELD — The pilot of a crop duster died after their plane crashed near Arborfield.

The crash of the C188B Cessna happened July 12. The Transportation Safety Board said they’ve been told there was a fire after impact.

Carrot River RCMP, EMS, and Fire Rescue responded at around 3:30 p.m. The pilot, who was the lone occupant of the plane, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The name of the pilot will not be released.

The Transportation Safety Board decided to deploy a team of investigators during the evening of July 12. They are expected to be on scene in the late afternoon of July 13.
