A passenger in a car has been killed in a collision on Highway 16.
At approx. 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Maidstone RCMP was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16 at Range Road 3280 east of Lloydminster.
A half-ton truck traveling eastbound on Highway 16 collided with a southbound car.
The driver of the car was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the passenger was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 16 eastbound was restricted to one lane for eight hours, and an RCMP collision analyst attended.
The investigation continues, as RCMP say no further information will be released at this time.
