The second issue of the Battlefords arts and culture magazine Feed the Artist is complete, and those behind it are celebrating with a launch event.

The event is on Friday, March 15 from 7 to 11p.m. at Crandleberry's at 1821 - 100th St., North Battleford.

The evening will feature music, poetry, interactive art installations and various other activities suitable for all ages. Live music is planned from the Edmonton folk-rock band Sally in the Valley, described as a two-piece, folk rock band whose sound is influenced by blues, pop, bluegrass and rock.

The theme of the second issue of Feed the Artist is progress, and features interviews, writings, reviews and visual art from local artists posing the question "what is progress and how do we envision change in our communities?" Many of the artists who were involved in the issue will be in attendance at the Crandleberry's event.

Feed the Artist Issue No. 2 will be available for purchase at the event, but if you can't wait that long, it is also available now at Crandleberry's, Freedom Skate, Battleford Boutique and Classic Trading and Music Supply.
