Fights among RCMP calls

Between 6 a.m. Saturday, June 20 and 6 a.m. Sunday, June 21, North Battleford RCMP responded to just under 100 calls for service in the noted time period, including:

Saturday, June 20

• There were complaints of youth going through vehicles and vandalizing them on the 1100 block of 107th Street and 108th Street.

• Someone made a report of an intoxicated male on the 1000 block of 101 Street just before 2 p.m. The male was located and taken to the hospital to be treated for medical issues.

• A bicycle was reported stolen in the afternoon while it was left outside of a business on Carlton Trail.

• A 63-year-old male was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified. He has already appeared in court on the matter and was convicted.

• Officers assisted WPD Ambulance in gaining entry to a residence in Battleford at 5:10 p.m., where a woman was in medical distress and she was taken to the hospital.

• Officers attended a residence on Sweet Grass First Nation for a complaint of an assault at 7:48 p.m. A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and was held in custody and has already been to court on the matter.

• There was a complaint at 7:51 p.m. of a vehicle driving around Moosomin First Nation and the caller suspected that the occupants were intoxicated. The vehicle was located parked and there was no one inside it. The owner was nearby and officers dumped out all the alcohol that was found in the vehicle.

• Around 10:30 p.m. there was a report of a loud fight involving a group of people near the intersection of 16th Avenue and 99th Street. After investigating the incident, three female youth were charged with robbery and one adult woman was charged with robbery and assault. No one was injured during the incident.

• A child at a residence in Battleford around 11:30 p.m. called and said that her parents were fighting. Officers went to the residence and spoke with the parents, who said that the fight was only verbal, and they agreed to be separated for the rest of the night.

Sunday, June 21

• Someone called at 3:47 a.m. to report that there had been two kids trying to get into her house. She set off the panic alarm on her vehicle outside the residence and the kids ran off. The suspects are described as being caucasian and approximately 13 years old.

• There was a report of a group of five youth fighting in the parking lot of a business on the 1700 block of 100 Street at 3:50 a.m. They quickly left after the police were called and were no longer in the area when patrols were made.

• While making patrols, an officer came across a 23-year-old man that was found to be breaching the curfew conditions of his probation order by being out on the street at 3:55 a.m. He was arrested and charged accordingly.

In addition, there were two people arrested for alcohol related offences, eight disturbances reported, 10 traffic complaints, two minor collisions, two nuisance 911 calls, one false alarm and five missing people reported that have already been located.
