A fire at the City of North Battleford’ Waste Management Facility was discovered when staff when to work this morning, so the site will be closed until it’s out, said Tammy MacCormack, assistant director of utilities services.
MacCormack said at that time she didn’t have any information on what was burning or how it started.
An advisory released shortly after the News-Optimist spoke with MacCormack stated access is limited to Emergency Services and City Operations staff.
The North Battleford Fire Department is currently on-site.
