Fire at Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation

Loon Lake RCMP are reporting their members responded to a house fire on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation Tuesday night, March 7. The call came in around 10:15 p.m., according to police.

The call came in around 10:15 p.m., according to police. 
 
Upon arrival, they said they found the house engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke billowing from the structure. Members were unable to enter, but called out to determine if there were any people inside. No one was inside.
 
An adult female and 3 children were found safe and accounted for and were not inside the residence during the fire.
 
Loon Lake Fire Department were on scene to put out the blaze. No injuries were reported. The cause is unknown at this time and is still under investigation.
