The RM of North Battleford has lifted the fire ban that had been in place for the last several weeks.
The fire ban was lifted Monday by North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services. According to the fire department, conditions in and around North Battleford have improved after the weekend rain.
However, the residents will still need to obtain a fire permit.
"The fire ban is no longer in place, however, residents in the RM are advised that a fire permit is now required to burn anything other than burning in fire pits or in a burning barrel," said North Battleford Fire Chief Pat MacIsaac in a statement.
A fire permit system is in place in the RM of North Battleford and residents there are urged to contact the RM for a fire permit.
