Fire department responds to smoke from a BBQ

It turned out that a barbeque was responsible for setting off the fire alarms on the 1900 block of Pearson Ave. on Tuesday evening. The incident happened around 7:12 p.m.

It turned out that a barbeque was responsible for setting off the fire alarms on the 1900 block of Pearson Ave. on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened around 7:12 p.m. According to North Battleford Fire Department, they responded to the scene and found moderate smoke levels in the hallways of a three-story apartment building.

As it turned out, the cause was due to a tenant of the building barbequing in front of the fresh air intake to the apartment building.

The crew, which consisted of five fire personnel, was on scene for 40 minutes ejecting the smoke from the hallways. WPD Ambulance was also on the scene.
