Between 6 a.m. Aug. 15 and 6 a.m. Aug. 16, Battlefords RCMP responded to about 74 calls for service, including two 911 misdials, 14 cause a disturbance/drunk in public/mischief complaints, seven theft complaints, two traffic complaints, six complaints regarding child custody issues, two complaints reporting scams, one hit and run with damage to a vehicle, two missing persons with both located, one false alarm.

Aug. 15
• 7:35 a.m. - Report of a rock being thrown through a vehicle window on Pearson Avenue.
• 9:02 a.m. - Report of a lost licence plate from 105th Street.
* 8:48 a.m. - A GMC pick up truck was stolen from a dealership compound in NB. The vehicle has not been recovered. SUI
• 9:15 a.m. - A report of gas being syphoned out of three vehicles in Battleford. This occurred sometime over the previous three days. SUI
• 11:54 a.m. - A report of intoxicated people loitering at frontier Mall.
• Noon - Two-vehicle MVC at 100th Street and 11th Avenue with no injuries. One vehicle required a tow.
• 1:25 p.m. - Report of a stolen trailer being on a property near Cando. The travel trailer was previously stolen from Turtleford area along with a truck. The trailer has now been recovered.
• 2:50 p.m. - A pickup truck was stolen from an address on 114th Street. The truck was later used in an assault on Douglas Avenue. Police immediately located the truck which failed to stop for police. The truck was involved in a theft of gas complaint then the truck was later located a short time later parked at another location in North Battleford. SUI
• 3:10 p.m. - Several driving complaints were received of an erratic driver on Highway 16, west of Battleford near Delmas. The vehicle was intercepted and the driver was determined to be grossly intoxicated. As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old male of Wynyard is being charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with over 80 mg per cent blood alcohol content. He was released from custody and scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court in September.
• 4:45 p.m. - Report of males at the Civic Centre skate park smoking drugs. The subjects were not located.
• 7:45 p.m. - Report of a power line being knocked down during the parade and starting a fire. EMS, FIRE and Sask Power attended and the power line was repaired.
• 8:35 p.m. - Report of two youth driving a golf cart around in North Battleford. SUI
• 9:41 p.m. - A report of gunshots on Moosomin First Nation. Through investigation it was determined the noise was caused by fireworks.
Aug. 16
• Midnight - A report of threats being made to beat up a complainant near Cochin. SUI
• 4:30 a.m. - Report of a 21-yr-old male being bear-sprayed on 98th Street, North Battleford. The male victim was taken to BUH for treatment. SUI
