Another firearm discharge has taken place in North Battleford.
Battlefords RCMP report that on Oct. 22, at 2:20 a.m., members responded to a complaint of a firearm being discharged.
While responding to this situation, RCMP members intercepted a vehicle fleeing at a high rate of speed from the area. A pursuit of that suspect vehicle was initiated and after a few minutes it was located at a residence where a suspect was observed fleeing on foot. This suspect was not apprehended at the time, but positively identified.
The suspect vehicle was seized along with a firearm.
The investigation turned back to a residence on the 1000 block of 105th Street, North Battleford. This residence was damaged from the discharge of a firearm.
The occupants of the residence were spoken with and the residence cleared to ensure no persons had been injured, and this was confirmed.
An unlawfully stored firearm was seized at this residence as well.
It has been determined that this was not a random incident and the investigation is ongoing.
