North Battleford RCMP say they are investigating a complaint of a firearm being used during an altercation in the early morning hours of Sept.1 in the city.
Just before 2 a.m., police received a call of a fight in an alley off the 1100 block of 100th Street. Information was relayed to police stating at least one firearm was in the possession of one of the individuals involved.
Police say members responded quickly and were able to secure the scene.
Four suspects were arrested, one of whom was apprehended after a brief foot chase.
One of those arrested, a 22-year-old woman, was later released without charges laid. The other three have since been charged in connection with this investigation. No one was injured in the incident, and the firearm does not appear to have been discharged, police report.
Kristopher Delorme, 26, is charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon contrary to a court order and possession of stolen property. His first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court was Tuesday and he appeared again Wednesday. He remains in custody until his next scheduled court date on Sept. 29.
Hadassash Harper, 25, is charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, possession of stolen property and intimidation. Her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court was Tuesday and she was in court again Wednesday, and was due to return to court Thursday. She remains in custody.
The third suspect, a 23-year-old man, was released from custody a few hours after his arrest. He is due back in court again at a later date on several weapons charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
