BATTLEFORDS — Update: Fog advisories were lifted by Environment Canada Friday morning.

Original release 4 a.m. Friday: Fog has developed over portions of northwest Saskatchewan.

Visibility is expected to improve late Friday morning.

A northwest to southeast stationary warm front is draped across southwestern Saskatchewan. North of the front, light winds in the surface ridge of high pressure is producing poor visibility in fog.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Areas under the fog advisory are:

  • City of Lloydminster Sask.
  • City of Saskatoon
  • Kindersley - Rosetown - Biggar - Wilkie - Macklin
  • Martensville - Warman - Rosthern - Delisle - Wakaw
  • Outlook - Watrous - Hanley - Imperial - Dinsmore
  • The Battlefords - Unity - Maidstone - St. Walburg
