Cpl. Glenn M. Pollard accepted the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal from His Honour, Col. (Ret'd) the Honourable Donald S. Ethell, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

Cpl. Glenn M. Pollard, NCO in charge of protective and security operations for Southern Alberta, was a proud recipient of Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal at a ceremony held in Edmonton.

The medal was presented by Donald S. Ethell, the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

Pollard was nominated by Betty Anne Spink, chief of protocol for the province of Alberta. Pollard was recognized not only for performing his duties above and beyond expectation, but also for his work organizing security for visiting dignitaries specifically in regards to the royal family visits in Alberta.

Pollard was born, raised and educated in Blaine Lake and is the son of Roy and Annette Pollard of Blaine Lake.
