Former River Heights employee faces multiple charges

Fifteen charges of theft and fraud have been laid by Battlefords RCMP against a former employee of River Heights Lodge in North Battleford. Charged is Audrey Gallinger, 47, of Battleford.

Fifteen charges of theft and fraud have been laid by Battlefords RCMP against a former employee of River Heights Lodge in North Battleford.

Charged is Audrey Gallinger, 47, of Battleford. She is charged with one count of theft over $5,000, one count of fraud over $5,000, seven counts of theft under $5,000 and six counts of fraud under $5,000. Her first court appearance is June 20 at 10 a.m.

Gallinger worked as a financial manager/bookkeeper for River Heights Lodges, an adult care facility operated by the Prairie North Health Region. Theallegations cover a period between April of 2009 and April of 2010. Police say the incidents were reported to the Battlefords RCMP April 10, 2010. Victims were the River Heights Lodge, facility residents and an employee social group, with losses valued at over $28,000.
