Four calls to NBFD on the weekend

North Battleford Fire Department had responded to three call outs Sunday evening. The first came at about 6:50 p.m. when a dumpster fire was reported between Valley Ford Collision and JJ Air Conditioning.

North Battleford Fire Department had responded to three call outs Sunday evening.

The first came at about 6:50 p.m. when a dumpster fire was reported between Valley Ford Collision and JJ Air Conditioning.

Three firefighters doused the blaze and were on the scene for about 15 minutes checking the adjacent buildings for any extension of the fire. Nothing was found.

Alarms sent firefighters to Battlefords District Care Centre at 9:30 p.m., but it proved to be a false alarm.

Heat from a wiring short circuit in a home at 831 - 107th St. had four firefighters responding to a call at about 10:45 p.m. The problem originated in a light fixture that was arcing. Firefighters were on the scene about 15 minutes.

Sunday, at about 8:20 p.m. another dumpster fire was reported at 1502 - 105th St. Four firefighters were on the scene for about 10 minutes
