Between 6 a.m. Sunday, June 21 and 6 a.m. Monday, June 22, North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 60 calls for service, including:
Sunday, June 21
- There was a report at 1:33 p.m. of smashed windows on the 600 block of 109th Street.
- Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 101st Street and 15th Avenue at 2:18 p.m. WPD Ambulance assisted the occupants of the vehicle, and there were no serious injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the intersection.
- There was a motor vehicle collision on Railway Avenue near the intersection of Battleford Road around 3 p.m. There were no injuries and the vehicles sustained minor damage.
- A 34-year-old man was charged with impaired driving after an officer stopped a vehicle on Territorial Drive at 4:35 p.m.
- At 5 p.m. someone reported that someone had broken a window to their garage and broken in overnight.
- Someone reported at 11:22 p.m. that they had found a quad that had fire damage. The quad had been stolen from a rural residence in Wilkie.
- A motor vehicle collision was reported just before midnight. One vehicle went through a red light and hit a second vehicle. There were no injuries and both vehicles had to be towed from the accident scene.
Monday, June 22
- A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged after he was found to be breaching the curfew conditions of his probation order. He was held in custody and has already appeared in court.
- Someone reported that they had hit a moose while driving on highway 40 west of Battleford at 12:10 a.m. No humans were injured in the accident and the vehicle was towed.
- Officers assisted WPD Ambulance with an uncooperative patient in need of medical care at 1 a.m.
- Around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a complaint regarding a vehicle with four occupants that had been seen smashing a window of a vehicle parked on the 1400 block of 112 Street. Three adult males and one male youth were arrested after the suspect vehicle was located by officers. The four individuals are associated with damaging multiple vehicles in Battleford and North Battleford as well as several incidents of arson. Charges are pending for all four males.
- Officers attended a residence on Panton Avenue after a call around 5 a.m. about an intoxicated male that is known to her that was causing problems at her house. The male was given a ride elsewhere for the night to prevent any further issues.
- There was a report of a stolen vehicle that had been taken sometime during the previous night from a residence on Hamelin Street. The vehicle has since been recovered.
There were also four people that were arrested for alcohol related offences, six traffic complaints, one nuisance 911 call and one person reported missing that has already been located.
