The province has issued a news release stating that as of March 19 Saskatchewan now has four new, presumptive positive cases for COVID-19.

That brings the total of cases to 20.  12 are presumptive positive and eight are confirmed after verification from the National Microbiology Laboratory.

Of the four new cases, three are related to travel and one is a close contact of a previously reported case.

Nineteen of the twenty cases are self-isolating at home; one presumptive positive case is in hospital for medical reasons not related to COVID-19.

The province announced several measures on Wednesday to deal with COVID-19.including prohibiting public gatherings larger than 50 people, closing all gyms, fitness centres, casinos and bingo halls, and limiting all restaurants, bars and event venues seating to 50 per cent of capacity or up to a maximum of fifty people, and must ensure social distance of one to two metres between customers.
