CARROT RIVER — Four youth were caught in a SUV stolen from Carrot River. Inside the vehicle was a .22 caliber rifle, large machete, several BB guns and ammunition.
A member of the Prince Albert RCMP Combined Traffic Services Unit stopped the vehicle for speeding as it was travelling east on Highway #55 east of Prince Albert at 11:53 on May 18 and confirmed that the vehicle was stolen.
The youth are 17, 16, 15 and 12 and were arrested without incident.
All four youths have been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, numerous firearms and weapons charges as well as breaches of probation and sentence orders.
Other charges have also been laid out of the Carrot River Detachment and investigations are ongoing with respect to the youth's involvement with incidents reported there. They all were remanded in custody until their first court appearance in Prince Albert May 22.
