The 17th annual Festival of Wreaths kicked off at the Humboldt and District Gallery on Nov. 17.
Over 100 items have been donated to both the silent and live auction as well as the bottle auction with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Museum and Gallery for school and public programs.
“All of it goes back into the community,” says Leah Terry with the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery.
Items are still coming in for the event with some donations even coming in opening day.
Terry says that all the donations are very much appreciated.
It may be called the Festival of Wreaths but Christmas wreaths are just a small part of the variety of items up for bid, from decorations to food baskets to quilts to even an automotive gift basket.
Another part of the Festival includes the Jingle Bottles raffle. Tickets are $20 and buyers get a numbered cork that corresponds with a donated bottle of wine.
This is a popular aspect of the Festival and Jean Price with the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery says that bottles usually go fast and tickets are sold as long as there are bottles to give away.
Bidding will end on Dec. 8 with the live auction event at 7 p.m. at the Gallery.
