Frontier Mall Wall of Fame seeks nominations

The search is on for new inductees into the Frontier Mall Wall of Fame in 2011.

The search is on for new inductees into the Frontier Mall Wall of Fame in 2011.

Nominations are now being accepted for outstanding citizens of the Battlefords and area for induction to the Frontier Mall Wall of Fame, according to special events co-ordinator, Chantal Gelinas.

"There are currently 52 inductees and it has come to that time of year to introduce additional individuals who have had a positive influence on our community," Gelinas said in a statement.

Nomination kits are now available at the Frontier Mall administration office and will be accepted until Feb. 4 for the 2011 Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which is scheduled to happen in the spring.

Nominees may be living or deceased, but must have lived in the Battlefords or surrounding areas. Each nominee will be carefully evaluated on three criteria: to determine the value of their contribution to the community or to significant groups in the community or as role models, the significance of their contribution to art, sports, business, government, philanthropy, humanities, science or education, and the enduring value of their achievements.
