La Ronge RCMP are trying to track down two teenaged girls who ran away from a camp at Devil's Lake north of that community Saturday.
Police say Tristyne Ballantyne, 15, and Morgan Hystad, 14, were participating in a canoe/camping excursion in the Missinippi Lake area. Their group set camp on an island at Devil's Lake.
According to reports, they bothswam away from their campsite and were picked up by aboater who dropped them off at the Devil's Lake Campground at approximately 1:30 p.m. They were laterseen hitchhiking south on Highway 102.
Tristyne, who is from Deschambault Lake, is approximately 157 cm. tall and weighs 54.5 kg with a slender build. Herhairis black and shaved on one side of the head.
Morgan, from St. Benedict, was described by witnesses as being a littleheavier with long, curly, dark hair.
Their intended destination is unknown.
