Between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, North Battleford RCMP received approximately 47 calls for service.
Friday, Aug. 21
• A vehicle was broken into overnight on Bennett Crescent.
• There was a report of a break and enter to a garage on Sweetgrass First Nation that occurred during the previous night.
• The GPS location of a stolen vehicle from Regina was tracked by a vehicle assistance company to a location in North Battleford. Officers recovered the stolen vehicle and are investigating the occurrence.
• There was a car accident involving two vehicles that was reported at 1:30 p.m. on the corner of 14th Avenue and 93rd Street. No one was injured in the collision and one of the vehicles was damaged enough that it had to be towed.
• There was a theft reported from a business on 22nd Street in Battleford at 6:51 p.m.
• A Community Safety Officer stopped a vehicle around 11:30 p.m. and found the driver to be intoxicated. Officers attended to assist and the 27-year-old male driver was charged with impaired driving.
Saturday, Aug. 22
• There was a complaint of a group of teenagers that were fighting in the area of 9th Avenue and 112th Street at 12:44 a.m. Two youth had minor injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
• Around 2 a.m., a male youth was arrested for breaching his probation order, as he was out past his curfew hours and was intoxicated. He was also charged with obstruction for giving a false name to officers and for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The male had outstanding charges in relation to a break and enter at a school in North Battleford that was broken into within the past week. He was held in custody for court on Monday morning.
• An officer stopped a vehicle on 11th Avenue near 102nd Street just before 3 a.m. and the male youth driver was breaching curfew and alcohol related conditions on his undertaking. He was charged with breach of undertaking and impaired driving and was held in custody for court on Monday.
In addition, there were six people arrested for alcohol-related offences, thirteen disturbances, two traffic complaints, two minor collisions, three nuisance 911 calls, and three false alarms in the noted time period.
