HUMBOLDT — Grade 9 students at Humboldt Collegiate Institute will be learning from home after the Horizon School Division was made aware of COVID-19 diagnosis.

The division was made aware May 5. Learning from home begins Thursday, May 6. All Humboldt Collegiate Institute students are expected to be able to return to class on Monday, May 17.

“Families at the school are being informed, and we are working closely with our excellent partners in Public Health to assist in the contact tracing process,” the division said in a media release.

“Further details cannot be provided to maintain the privacy of the individuals involved.”
