Grande Prairie RCMP seek assistance in locating missing person

Police are concerned for Shelly Smith’s well-being and her ability to manage while on her own as she has a medical condition and requires medication.

GRAND PRAIRIE, Alta. – Shelly Lynn Smith, 33, was reported missing to the Grande Prairie RCMP on Dec. 3. Smith has not been located and RCMP continue to actively seek information about her whereabouts.

Police are concerned for Smith’s well-being and her ability to manage while on her own as she has a medical condition and requires medication.

Smith is described as:

  • 5’4”
  • Average build
  • 189 lbs
  • Chin length brown hair with blond highlights
  • Brown eyes
  • Wears glasses

She was last seen wearing:

  • Off-white down filled jacket with fur lined hood
  • Black or brown zipper boots
  • Blue jeans

Smith was last seen at approximately 11 a.m. on Dec. 1, 2021, in the area of 101 Avenue and 97A Street in Grande Prairie, Alta. Shelly has been known to travel to areas throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
