The Blaine Lake Community Association hosted its annual grandma and grandpa bonspiel Feb. 12. Six rinks registered representing participants from Shell Lake, Leask, Marcelin and Blaine Lake.
Draws consisted of six ends with exception of the finals that were four ends.
The Jim Joanette and Lloyd Koolick rinks were undefeated and thus challenged each other in the A event. Jim Joanette's rink consisting of Linda Joanette, Carol Lafond and Janet Lafond were victorious over Lloyd Koolick, Emily Koolick, Chad Timm and Denise Timm.
B event winners were the Gordon Melnyk rink of Lloyd Hunchak, Elaine Hunchak and Peter Krysak defeating the Russell Dicus rink of Sally Tipton, Larry Rush and Narcisse Caffet.
C event winners were the Henry Simonar rink of Doug Solinger, Marilyn Simonar and Vivian Martodam defeating the John Priestley rink of Elmer Boyer, Jack Popoff and Don Boe.
The day was an exhibition of skill, precision and quality curling.
