North Battleford Fire Department reports they did battle with a grassfire 11 miles east on Wearing Road.
The call came in around 3:51pm Saturday afternoon.
NB fire department responded with one pumper, two brush fire units, a tanker and a command unit. Also assisting was the Town of Battleford with one tanker, a wild land unit and a command unit. Battleford responded with eight personnel in addition to the 13 personnel from North Battleford FD.
RCMP also were on the scene, and local farmers were also there assisting.
The fire was brought under control in approximately three hours. The total time fire crews were on the scene was four hours.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The estimated dollar amount is unknown at this time.
