HUMBOLDT — Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools has announced its anti-COVID-19 measures.
It is cancelling large school gatherings such as pep rallies, school-wide liturgies and assemblies. As well, it is cancelling all guest speakers and external presentations at schools.
All after-hours school rentals are cancelled.
Any school/program open houses or information evenings are postponed.
Three-way conferences will take place over the phone, not in person.
Teachers' job action has already cancelled extracurricular activities and field trips.
“If your child is ill, please keep your child at home to prevent the spread of any type of illness to other children and families,” said a statement signed by Greg Chatlain, the director of education. “If parents or caregivers are ill, please refrain from coming into the school. Alternate arrangements may need to be made for drop off and pick up.”
