Battlefords RCMP investigated 40 occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.
Wednesday, Nov. 30
9:17 a.m. - Report of a person attending a residence on the Moosomin First Nation in violation of a no contact order. Subject left without gaining entry prior to police arriving on scene. Remains under investigation and charges are currently pending.
10:34 a.m. - Report of an unknown vehicle driving into a fence on the 300 block of 16th Street in Battleford sometime overnight.
4:20 p.m. – 16-year-old youth reported to be unlawfully at large, after failing to return to custody facility after a leave period.
4:27 p.m. - Christmas decorations reported stolen from in front of a residence on the 1400 block of 110th Street in North Battleford sometime during the day.
4:39 pm - Call of a Domestic assault in progress at a residence on the 900 block of 109th Street in North Battleford. A 21-year-old male was arrested on scene without incident. The victim was located and was not injured during the altercation. The male accused remains in custody and several charges are currently pending, including assault and other weapons charges. Police also located and arrested a 15-year-old youth on numerous outstanding warrants which included being unlawfully at large, three charges of assault with a weapon, break and enter and other property offences. The youth also remains in custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday. Matter remains under investigation.
8:47 p.m. - Police called to a residence on the 1400 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford reporting unknown intoxicated persons out front refusing to leave. A 33-year-old man was pepper sprayed by the arresting officers after kicking a member in the leg and attempting to engage the members in a fight. He will be attending North Battleford Provincial Court Thursday facing charges of assaulting a police officer, obstruction, to charges of breach of probation and two of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking . A 54 year old man was also arrested and is facing charges of obstruction and failing to comply with an undertaking. There were no injuries during the arrest.
Police arrested two persons for alcohol/disturbance offences, responded to two false/nuisance 911 calls, nine traffic matters, nine disturbance reports, one child welfare complaint, one minor collision, one alarm, one Mental Health Act investigation and two reported missing persons, both of whom were located in short order.
