Two people faces charges after an RCMP search turned up evidence of a suspected hydroponic marijuana grow operation at a residence in Blaine Lake Saturday.

Two people faces charges after an RCMP search turned up evidence of a suspected hydroponic marijuana grow operation at a residence in Blaine Lake Saturday.

Members of the Blaine Lake detachment say execution of a warrant turned up 11 plants weighing 11 pounds, with an estimated street value of $5,000. Twenty grams of drying marihuana and various pieces of hydroponic growing equipment were also seized.

Stolen items with a value of $20,000 were also recovered, RCMP say.

Blaine Lake resident Sharon Mielczarek, 35, is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. She will appear in Blaine Lake Provincial Court March 7.

Richard Mielczarek, 38, of Saskatoon is charged with possession of stolen property. A court date has not yet been set.
