Gunshot/loud noise reported

Battlefords RCMP were called out to about 30 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Monday, May 12 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 13. Among those calls were two traffic related issues, one false/nuisance 911 call and one municipal bylaw complaint.

Monday


12:00 p.m. - Harassment complaint made regarding ongoing unwanted contact. 


12:10 p.m. - Report of two youths in an abandoned home on 104th Street. One identified. Investigation ongoing.


1:51 p.m. - At approximately 2 p.m. in North Battleford plainclothes RCMP officers assisted a local business owner attempting to apprehend suspected shoplifters on the 1100 block of 101st Street. For more details about this incident please see the story "Three-hour search ends in arrest."


2:30 p.m. - Two youths, 14 and 15, reported missing from a youth home in city. One located shortly after, the second located later in the evening.


4:03 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision on 13th Avenue and 103rd Street. One vehicle sustained significant damage and had to be towed from scene. No injuries reported. Cause of collision remains under investigation.


5:58 p.m. - Vehicle on Miller Road with damage to ignition system. Believed to be related to apprehension of three suspects in the stolen vehicle from Saskatoon.


8:45 p.m. - Report of an assault on 102nd Street. Two persons involved in altercation on the street, no injuries. No one wished to co-operate with investigation.


9:34 p.m. - Report of an altercation/fight on 93rd Street. All parties gone from area when members arrived and no further complaints made relating to matter.


10:18 p.m. - Report of a possible gunshot/loud bang in area of Gregory Drive. Unable to substantiate cause of noise.


11:55 p.m. - 22-year-old woman arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving while over .08 and driving while disqualified after traffic stop on 101st Street.


Tuesday


1:09 a.m. - Call of an assault at a residence on 104th Street. Suspect known to victim, had already fled scene. Victim sustained minor injuries in the assault. Investigation ongoing.
