HAFFORD — Taylor Reid, a Cloverbud from the Crown Hill 4-H Club, and Rayna Yasieniuk, an intermediate from Reigning Riders Light Horse Club, headed to Swift Current to represent the northwest region at the 4-H provincial speech competition, April 11.
The girls made it through the club, district and regional competitions in order to qualify for the provincial level.
There are nearly 3,000 4-H members registered in Saskatchewan and only the top 32 – eight in each age group – qualified for provincials.
They gathered for the afternoon to compete. It was a long day of competition followed by a banquet and then award ceremony.
Neither of the girls placed in the top two however just to make it to that level is a huge accomplishment that both girls should be proud of.
