Harassing calls, texts investigated

It was a quiet 24 hours for Battlefords RCMP, with less than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 and 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24. Three of those calls were alarms, all proved to be false. Thursday 8:06 a.m.

It was a quiet 24 hours for Battlefords RCMP, with less than 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 and 6 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24.

Three of those calls were alarms, all proved to be false.

Thursday

8:06 a.m. - Mischief to property reported, happening over last two days. Reporting on Winder Crescent that air being let out of vehicle tires. No suspects.

12:01 p.m. - Report of suspicious men on 101st Street, one possibly carrying a large knife or machete. Patrols of area negative.

4:13 p.m. - Report of vehicle taken without owner's consent by an acquaintance. Vehicle then damaged in minor collision. Remains under investigation.

5:37 p.m. - Complainant receiving harassing calls and text messages from unknown personthroughout the day. Investigation ongoing.

8:10 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision on Railway Avenue east. No injuries. Minor damage to both vehicles.

9:06 p.m. - Single vehicle collision. Semi struck a power pole on 11th Avenue. SaskPower did attend to ensure no danger and line was disconnected for a period of time.
