The City of North Battleford has announced April 27 as the date for Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
Items will be collected between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the public works shop on 11112 - 6th Ave.
The City has held Household Hazardous Waste days in the past and is promoting the program for making the disposal of hazardous household chemicals and materials more convenient for residents, as well as safe for the environment.
The City says items accepted on April 27 include adhesives, aerosols, batteries, cleaners, corrosives, fuels, mercury, oxidizers, poisons, pharmaceuticals, propane cylinders, solvents.
Items not accepted include paint and electronics (both of which should be taken to SARCAN), household smoke detectors, sharps, body fluids, firearm bullets/gunpowder,and commercial/industrial hazardous waste.
