Habitat for Humanity

Throughout Canada, 228 hardworking families who'd been living in inadequate or unsafe housing got the hand up they needed.

They've moved in, are paying an affordable mortgage and no longer need to decide between paying the rent or buying food for their children.

In our community, we have the same opportunity to help families. Innovation Credit Union will be collecting donations to Saskatoon Habitat for Humanity – Battlefords Chapter from now until May 14 in their “Helping Hands” blitz. Any donation large or small is appreciated.

Donations of more than $20 will receive an income tax receipt.

As the warmer weather will allow for more volunteers on the site, more volunteers are needed. If you are a builder, wish to prepare food or snacks, can phone volunteers or can help on the board with fundraising or in another capacity, your skills are needed.

Perhaps your company would like to be involved by donating materials or labour.

For more information, please contact Morley at 306-481-6766 or Ed at 306-441-0525. To donate online please go to at http://habitatsaskatoon.ca/donate/ or our Facebook page.

Helping Hands are also sold at Crandleberry's Restaurant and North Battleford Home Hardware.
