At approximately 7:30 a.m. TODAY, RCMP Maidstone responded to several motor vehicle accidents n Highway 16, one kilometre east of Marshall. Several semi-trailer units jack-knifed and are in the ditch, and several other vehicles are in the ditch as well. The west bound lane is currently blocked, traffic is starting to back up on Highway 16 and motorists can expect lengthy delays. No injuries have been reported at this time. Road conditions are extremely icy and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
