The Cut Knife RCMP detachment is investigating a break and enter on Poundmaker First Nation.
The incident is alleged to have happened between Aug. 22 and 23 at the Poundmaker Historical Centre on the reserve.
According to the RCMP, the front door of the centre was broken and a number of cabinets were damaged, with their contents scattered.
Various historic and cultural artifacts were damaged and a buffalo coat was stolen. The centre hosts various cultural exhibits and was an attraction for visitors across Canada.
