Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, May 1 and 6 a.m. Friday, May 2.

Among those were one false alarm, five traffic related complaints, two occurrences related to Social Services and child welfare checks, one false/nuisance 911 call and five municipal bylaw complaints

Thursday

8:12 a.m. - Report of a theft from a business on Railway Avenue East from approximately one week earlier. Surveillance footage available of two male suspects.

8:20 a.m. - Called to a residence on 104th Street due to sounds of yelling and fighting. Appears there was a minor physical altercation between two occupants of the home, however, no co-operation with investigation.

8:45 a.m. - Vehicle parked on Scott Drive entered and some personal items removed.

9:48 a.m. - Report of stolen personal cheques. All already cancelled and no fraudulent attempts to use them reported.

10:25 a.m. - Welfare check done on a person residing on Douglas Avenue who has not been seen by neighbours in some time. Her whereabouts were later confirmed and subject is safe and sound.

11:00 a.m. - Report of an assault. 13-year-old victim stating she was assaulted by two other youths known to her. Investigation ongoing.

12:03 p.m. - 14-year-old girl reported missing since April 30. Located by members at another residence in the city later in the afternoon and returned home.

1:00 p.m. - Mischief to a garage door on 1600 block of 104th Street during the night.

2:50 p.m. - 70-year-old man arrested and facing charges of care and control of a vehicle while impaired and refusing to provide a breath sample after a vehicle check on 101st Street. Subject held in custody, also facing previous impaired charges still before the courts and is to appear in Provincial Court on Friday, May 2 at 9:30 a.m. Two female passengers, ages 53 and 54, taken into custody for public intoxication as both severely intoxicated as well.

3:34 p.m. - Hit and run reported on 8th Avenue. Surveillance footage available and suspect identified.

4:04 p.m. - 36-year-old woman arrested and facing charges of public intoxication after found very intoxicated and sleeping in a bathroom of a business.

4:38 p.m. - 45-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman arrested from public intoxication, located by members on 101st Street and both facing Alcohol and Gaming regulations charges.

4:55 p.m. - 32-year-old man arrested and charged under Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act after report of a man needing medical attention on 100th Street and then wanting to fight the ambulance personnel. Held in custody until sober.

6:48 p.m. - Loud music and drunks reported on St. Laurent Drive. Members attended and warned subjects to be quiet. Most listened and returned inside residence. One argued and that 18-year-old man spent the night in jail.

6:57 p.m. - 34-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance, found near railway tracks in Riverview.

7:58 p.m. - Report of an assault, both parties known to each other. No injuries, and everyone apologized to each other before police arrived. No charges pursued.

8:22 p.m. - Intoxicated brother of complainant causing problems at a residence on St. Laurent Drive. 60-year-old man arrested for mischief and held in custody until sober.

8:32 p.m. - Report of a man violating a no contact order and driving by complainant's home. Not located by members last night, file remains under investigation and charges still pending at this time.

8:49 p.m. - Police called to hospital to assist with unstable and violent patient, struggling with staff and attempting to spit on people. Members remained on scene until subject calmed down and could be treated.

Friday

12:41 a.m. - Members patrolling heard audible alarm from a school on 110th Street. Attended immediately and secured the building, no one located. One door was found insecure, but no entry appears to have been gained.

1:29 a.m. - 65-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 107th Street.
