Housing board appointments made

Appointments to board of directors for two Northwest housing authority boards were announced recently. Marlene Moore has been reappointed to the St. Walburg Housing Authority board of directors along with the new appointment of Donald Wishart.

Appointments to board of directors for two Northwest housing authority boards were announced recently.

Marlene Moore has been reappointed to the St. Walburg Housing Authority board of directors along with the new appointment of Donald Wishart. Other members of the board are Earl Graham, Charles George and Dale Drechsel. Moore is chairperson.

Marilyn Bleakney has been appointed to the Turtleford Housing Authority board along with Leslie Nordell. Other members of the board are M. Louise Lundberg, Helen Starnes and David Wooff. Wooff is chairperson.

The St. Walburg Housing Authority is a community-based organization that provides daily management of 38 housing units constructed and operated under the terms of a federal/provincial/municipal cost sharing agreement.

The Turtleford Housing Authority provides daily management of 24 housing units.

Saskatchewan has a network of 271 housing authorities and more than 1,400 volunteer members who assist with management of housing units throughout the province for seniors, low income families and persons with disabilities.
