HUMBOLDT—The City of Humboldt has announced the closure of city hall to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Given the latest provincial declaration of a state of emergency in the Province of Saskatchewan, the City of Humboldt is taking additional action to help prevent the spread of COVID-19,” the city said in a press release.

The closure takes effect March 19, at 4:30 p.m., until further notice.

All essential services, such as water supply, emergency and protective services are expected to continue to operate without disruption.

City of Humboldt staff will be available to answer questions and concerns via telephone or email from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Statutory Holidays.

All changes and notices to city services will be posted to the city’s official website at http://humboldt.ca/.

Bill payment can be made through online banking, through the mail, or by using the drop off slot located in front of city hall.

Residents can also sign up for the City’s WIPPS (to pay water bills) or TIPPS (to pay property taxes) programs. More information can be found on the city’s website.

“City Council and administration would like to remind you to continue to protect your family, friends and your community by practicing social distancing and remaining at home if you are experiencing symptoms.”
