The 78th Humboldt Music Festival came to a close with a performance and awards night at the Marysburg Alliance Church on May 7. Organizer Tanya Schuler is happy with how the event went over all this year.
“Festival went great again this year. After running for 78 years, we’ve pretty much got it down pat. Everything is well organized and always runs very smoothly,” she said. “With every festival, there are always things we learn and work to improve but nothing we would do differently.”
Ten participants from this year’s festival are off to compete at the provincial level at the Saskatchewan Music Festival in Saskatoon on June 5-7: Emily Engele, Sarah Cunningham, Jocelyn Kohl, Josh Lees, Mikaela Nystuen, Danielle Guina, Matthew Sokolan, Diana Sarauer, Dawson Keller, and Brett Muyres.
