Humboldt RCMP want more details about incident that saw $10,000 in damages

HUMBOLDT — Police are asking the public for more details about an incident that saw a man cause around $10,000 in damages to 11 vehicles at a Humboldt business.

Humboldt RCMP said at around 1:14 a.m. on Sept. 4, they received a call from a witness who said a man was smashing vehicles on the lot. The business is on the 300 block of Eighth Street, which is between Fourth Avenue and Third Avenue.

Police said they immediately patrolled the area and arrested a lone man that fit the description and the evidence on scene.

The man was taken to the Humboldt RCMP Detachment and held in custody for further investigation. He was then released on a court appearance.

Police said Criminal Code charges are pending the completion of their investigation.
